Animal Reiki Healing Sessions
Where your animal is gently met in their energy, held in presence, and supported without pressure.
A sacred space for your animal to soften, settle, and receive.
These distance-based sessions offer consent-led energetic support that meets your animal right where they are.
Reiki is offered as a gentle invitation to your animal that they are free to accept, ignore, or return to later.
Whether they are healing, overwhelmed, adjusting to change, or simply in need of space, Reiki offers a quiet, non-invasive way to support their nervous system and emotional wellbeing.
You’re welcome to book a Reiki session on its own or pair it with Animal Communication to deepen your understanding of what your animal may be feeling or needing to express.
A Different Way to Support Your Animal
This work isn’t about trying to ‘fix’ your animal. It’s about honoring their inner intelligence
and creating a calm space for their body and spirit to do what they already know how to do.
Reiki doesn’t direct. It listens.
It doesn’t push. It invites.
Every session follows your animal’s lead.
What Is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese word that translates to "spiritual life force energy."
Rei means “universal” or “spirit-guided.”
Ki means “life energy.” The same essence known as Qi in Chinese medicine or Prana in yoga.
Reiki is the subtle energy that flows through all living things: human, animal, plant, earth. It is the vital force that sustains life, and when balanced, supports natural wellbeing on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.
The practice of Reiki involves offering this energy through stillness, presence, and intention. It’s not about directing or controlling healing, but allowing life force energy to flow where it’s needed most.
When animals receive Reiki, they are not being “treated” in the traditional sense. They are entering into a shared space of calm and connection, where their body and spirit can soften, release, and come back into balance at their own pace.
What Animal Reiki Can Support
Animal Reiki can be supportive for animals in many different circumstances to help the nervous system settle and the body return to balance.
These sessions may be supportive for animals who are:
Sensitive to shifts in environment, energy, or emotion
Navigating restlessness, freeze states, or changes in behavior
Recovering from illness, injury, or medical procedures
Adjusting to new companions, homes, or routines
Aging or living with physical discomfort or limited mobility
Grieving a loss or moving through deep internal change
Needing space to recalibrate, ground, or release held energy
Animal Reiki offers space for settling, integration, and regulation, led by your animal’s consent.
What to Expect in an Animal Reiki Session
Each Animal Reiki session is conducted remotely and guided by your animal’s consent, responsiveness, and pace.
Before the session
Your animal is energetically invited into the space. Some feel drawn in right away. Others stay nearby and watch. Their response sets the tone for what follows. There is nothing you need to do to prepare them. They will decide how they want to be with the energy.
During the session
Reiki is offered from a distance. Your animal remains in the comfort of their own space. They may stretch, rest deeply, reposition, or seem quietly alert. Every reaction is valid. There is no expectation to act or receive in any particular way. The energy simply flows where it is needed, guided by their inner knowing.
After the session
You may notice your animal feeling more settled, softer, or more present. This could look like a deep nap, a shift in behavior, or a subtle change in how they carry themselves. Sometimes the effects unfold gradually. There is no one-size-fits-all outcome. What matters is that your animal received the support in the way that felt right to them.
After every session, you’ll receive an audio recording with any observations, intuitive impressions, or messages that came through. Whether or not the session included Animal Communication, this recording offers insight into how your animal engaged with the energy, and gives you something to revisit and reflect on in your own time.
This work honors their body, energy, and spirit. There is no pressure to heal or respond. Just space to be, in whatever way they choose.
Distance Reiki creates a safe, respectful container where your animal can receive support without being touched, watched, or asked to engage in any particular way. It allows them to remain in the comfort of their home, choosing how and when to connect with the energy being offered.
This approach is especially supportive for animals who are sensitive, cautious, in recovery, or moving through stress, aging, or emotional shifts. Many animals feel safer when they are not being observed or physically touched. Distance energy work honors that need for space and autonomy.
Far from being a limitation, distance often makes the session more accessible. Your animal can rest, wander, or disengage completely if that feels right. Nothing is expected. Everything is welcomed.
Reiki offered in this way becomes an invitation, and prioritizes safety, self-regulation, and consent. Your animal gets to lead the way.

About Me
I’m Jen, an animal communicator and intuitive who walks alongside animals with deep presence, respect, and attunement to their sovereignty.
For nearly a decade, I’ve shared my daily life with over 50 rescue animals, each one unique, complex, and deeply feeling. They’ve been my greatest teachers. Not through obedience or training, but through the subtle, unspoken ways they communicate when we’re quiet enough to listen.
These experiences have shaped how I hold space. I don’t approach this work to fix, or label what’s happening. I offer Animal Reiki and Animal Communication as gentle, consent-led practices that support your animal’s own process. Sometimes that means stillness. Sometimes that means a message. Sometimes that means space to rest.
I believe animals carry wisdom we are still learning how to listen to.
I believe sensitivity is strength.
I believe healing happens when we stop trying to control it.
This work is about becoming quiet enough to hear what’s already there.
I’m here to hold that space for your animal, for you, and for whatever wants to unfold in the sacred space between.
Reiki Healing Demo
In this short video, I’m offering Reiki to my rescue horse, Pepper. Notice how I stay attuned to his body language, watching for subtle cues that show how he wants to engage.
You may see him lick, chew, or shift his weight- all signs that energy is moving and being received. Just a spacious field where Pepper is free to respond in the way that feels right for him.

That’s completely okay. You don’t need to believe in Reiki for your animal to benefit.
This work is less about belief and more about creating a calm, grounded space for your animal’s nervous system to settle. Animals are incredibly sensitive to our internal state. When we slow down and offer quiet presence, they often respond, even from a distance. -
Every animal responds differently. Some soften right away; others take their time or integrate the support more subtly. There’s no pressure for a big shift or specific outcome. Sometimes the most meaningful change is a deeper breath, less tension or a longer nap. That’s all valid. Reiki meets your animal where they are, and allows space for whatever wants to move, or rest.
-
Nope. You don’t need to prepare your animal in any way. They’ll decide how they want to engage. You’re welcome to sit nearby or go about your day.
-
Absolutely. Many guardians choose to slow down during the session and receive the calming effects alongside their animal. Reiki has a way of softening the space around both of you. While the session is centered on your animal, you're always welcome to be present in whatever way feels supportive for you.

Yes! Reiki can offer comfort, peace, and gentle grounding during end-of-life transitions. It creates a non-invasive space for your animal to rest, release, and feel held. Whether they are actively transitioning or simply needing support in their final season, this work honors their pace and process with deep respect.

When paired together, Reiki helps your animal feel settled and safe, which often opens the door for deeper communication. Reiki can be offered first, allowing your animal to relax, and then space is held for them to share anything they may be ready to express. The two practices support each other beautifully: one calms the body, the other invites the voice.
